Wild Volatility

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Last time I mention about my dangerous position in forex market. I was thinking of losing the trade when volatility set the market up. However, I was wrong when I think I'll lose the trade, because the market went up just on the line. Stop out signal was very close to hit my account. I don't want to see the bad scene, so I quit my MT4 software.

Few hours later, I check it again. To my surprise, I've hit the green pips. So, my account can breath again. I continue to grow my account until I hit the break-even point, and start making pure profits on the go. During NFP, I've hit another big move when I trade gbp/usd and eur/usd pair. I set the trade upward, and market is going so wild. NFP report is very dangerous but profitable.

So, there I go with the first week of trading forex with FXOpen.

Forex Trading: Weekly Highlight

Saturday, March 7, 2009

This week, I'm able to generate around US$ 1200 cents from forex. I don't do a lot of things actually, but this time, the focus is quality, not quantity. Only 3 trades is all it take to do this. In standard notation, US$ 1200 in one week. This week, the size of each trade is one lot. So, 1 pip is equal to 10 cents (in standard notation, US$ 10). The trick is to take a full advantage of the big swing in 30M time frame. Keep in mind that this is not a real account, I'm still practice my demo. So, I'll go live when I win the trade for 4 consecutive weeks. This is my second week, and the thing is going good so far. Forex trading is very interesting, Fxopen is my favorite broker, and MetaTrader4 is my preferred trading platform. Happy trading.

Forex Investment Weekly Report

Sunday, March 1, 2009

Initially, 1000 cents US$ is all I need to get started. First of all,
let me explain the basic of this investment. I'm using MetaTrader4
trading platform. Fxopen is my chosen broker, and micro account
is my starting point. 0.1 lot is my preferred trading size. Senior trader
always remind me not to jump into a big start, so I decide to listen to them.
I'm not going to make a lot of money, but not losing a lot of money
is my primary concern. Trading a big size is very profitable,
but at the same time, very risky. A few pips of movement
can kill the money easily.

So far, the trade involve two pairs, namely EUR/USD and GBP/USD.
This is to keep the focus on track. The balance by the end of this week
end up at 2940. However, the account equity still stay at 1761. A few
positions are still float. Here we can see a gain of 761 cents US$ for this
week. This is a huge return of 76.1% over my initial investment. If this
account is a standard one, I have US$761 return in just one week.

Big enough, hah? Yes, for some of us, especially for me. Unfortunately,
this is not the real thing, and we are talking about demo account. What's
more important is the potential of forex trading for retail investor.

Weekend In Progress

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Looking forward for a better forex trading strategy to be implemented on the next Monday. Not sure what should be done so far but ... I'm still working on it. I have to feed my account at Fxopen to start trading because I blew up my account last Friday. Aggressive movement of GBP/USD killed my trading account. Need to be very careful when dealing with this pair in the future. Once again, I didn't set the stop lost, that's why I lost the trade.

The Same Mistake

Saturday, January 24, 2009

Sadly, I've repeat the same mistake again. As the consequence, my account run out of money. So far, I've lost approximately $100 in FxOpen micro account alone. Not to mention my standard account with FxOpen, Marketiva, and Instaforex. The mistake is that I always jump into the trade to trade the trend when the trend is about to over. Stop lost, I never work it out. Leverage and trading volume is too high that a few movement to the opposite direction can easily kill the trade. We call this "margin call", a deadly alarm in forex trading industry. I'll start a new trade session without repeating the same mistake again, I mean it; trying my best.

Introduction To Instaforex

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

Expecting GBP/USD pair to feed the bull after a long bearish trend on 5M time frame. Experimenting with Instaforex broker. Demo account with 25 points, duplicating the properties of InstaEurica account type to test the trade without any single technical indicator. It is very tricky to trade with this broker at first. No spread, but the commission for every trade make it very tricky to determine profits especially during scalping. As for Fxopen, Indicator balance hit 100 points while Scalp was staying easy above 3000 points. Live micro account gain +6 pips for GBP/USD long trade.

Introduction To Forex Killer V3

Monday, December 29, 2008

The market at the end of the year is a little bit shaky. I have a new demo account named Scalp with 1000 points of starting capital. A new short position was opened for GBP/JPY using the Scalp demo account at 132.93 shooting 50 pips from the starting point in desired direction. Position was opened based on personal observation. FOREX Killer version 3 was ready for action. However, the tool is still pending for live trading.

The Birth of MicroDemo

Monday, December 22, 2008

My Zigzag account at FXOpen is gone. This is due to the faulty operating system of my PC. Since I never saved my account details for demo, I have to let it go. Start up with something new, the same settings, I named my new practice account Micro Demo. This name symbolize my real FXOpen Micro account, which was just funded with USD10 via Liberty Reserved. So, my real micro account is now funded with 1000 cents of USD currency. Don't know what to do with my Payment2u account so far.

The Zigzag

Saturday, December 20, 2008

Zigzag is the name of my demo account at FXOpen. The settings of this account mimic the characteristics of Micro account with 1:500 leverage and 1000 initial deposits in term of USD cents currency. At first, good profits was in control. 5M was the chosen time frame to deal based on default zigzag indicator found inside MT4 trading platform. Scalping method was applied to catch the Pips. However, the last trade failed to catch the Pips. Putting stop-lost at the wrong place determined to be the reason for this failure. The balance fall to 995.41 from 1000 which is not really good for Zigzag.

Micro Account Funded

Thursday, December 18, 2008

My Micro Account at FXOpen was finally funded with USD10 via Liberty Reserved. The amount funded credited my trading account with 1000 cent of USD currency. Liberty Reserved always be my preferred payment processor. MYR3.70 for USD1 via Evo Gates broker. I don't have any trading plan yet, but this is my preparation. This time, I will try my best to make profits and stay away from the other side. I may go slowly, but most importantly, my objective is to make profits at least a gain of 50% of my invested capital.
